About
‘My life is just a series of embarrassing incidents strung together by telling people about those embarrassing incidents.’ – Russell Brand, comedian.
Hello, I’m Lucy and I hail from a small town in the north of Manchester, I hate my hometown but love being at the heart of the city, the city’s nightlife and its culture it is really amazing. I am also a fan of Manchester’s music and love such bands as The Smiths and Joy Division heh. I usually spend most of my weekends downtown, I’m most likely to be in Afflecks Palace, the Urbis or shopping in Primark. That’s just an estimate, but I’m a well known customer in those three shops. Okay maybe that wasexaggerating a little bit.
I study at a local comprehensive school that is ten minutes from where I live (if you walk to it) I’m in Year 9, I think that’s grade 8 in America although I’m not very sure so do forgive me if I’m wrong. When I begin Year 10 in September 2008, I will be studying BTECH Health and Social Diploma, Drama and History for my options. As well as Maths, Science and English and all the other subjects the National Curriculum forces us to do. I do want to achieve good GCSE’S if I work hard enough. I’m not saying I’m a swot because I’m not, but I want to do good in my GCSE’S to get a good employment and a good pay when I’m older, or get into a University one of the two. I haven’t decided what type of career I want to go into when I’m older or what to study at University I’d probably be interested in theatre work seeing as I like acting but other than that, specialising in biology for my needs to become a paramedic. I have limited patience if I was training to be a nurse so that’s out of the question. I would also like to be famous, no I won’t be Britain’s answer to Paris Hilton, I’m not a sponger of my parents’ money thanks or be a skanky miss- I’m- ever- so- famous- just-because- I- had- a sex-tape- out. I’d like to be famous for my work in the acting industry and possibly music. Yeah I’m probably talking a lot of nonsense but hey don’t let people shatter your dreams.
I have a dry/sarcastic sense of humour some people don’t seem to get it a lot of the time. I can take the mick out of someone that I’ve known for a long time, but I don’t take it to the extreme that I hurt that person’s feelings I don’t like it being done to me, so I wouldn’t like to do it to that person. I’m outspoken and I like to voice my own opinions in an argument.Sometimes I can win one, sometimes I don’t, that’s just the way life goes. But online I can say that 90% of the time I’m friendly and considered helpful in some topics. I suppose I’m like an agony aunt to people that seek help, I try my best to give good advice. Offline, I suppose I do have my moments I have a great social life but have a reputation for being feisty I reckon that’s ‘cos it’s in my genes my mother is the complete same.
I have a very mixed dress sense but overall it is casual well I think it is anyway. I like to wear T-shirts (mostly of music bands that I like) denim jeans, vintage dresses and colourful tops in the summer. I accessorise myself with hair clips, headbands (mostly ones that are attractive) and a lot of vintage jewellery. That is if I feel that I want to dress up.
If people hate me then they hate me. I’m not everyones cup of tea God no, I know I’m disliked by a lot of people offline for differences that can evolve around many topics like music for an example. I’ve been called names before and in some ways its made me stronger to deal with such things. I speak my mind a lot of the time but without thinking it can lead me into trouble. At the end of the day I’ll tell you things that you probably wouldn’t like to hear, if needed that is. I don’t trust a lot of people because too many have spreaded some very hurtful things about me in the past whom I thought that I could trust. If you’re a real true friend to me then I’d probably tell everything to you. I always give people second chances it is fair that way.
